PROJECT SAFE GEORGIA PUBLIC - PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP
Sharing Ideas – Information – Solutions
The Cairo/Grady County Employer Committee along with the Cairo Career Center, Georgia Department of Labor hosted a breakfast seminar on July 12, 2011 with presenter, Jimmy Mize with the Safety Engineering Division of the Georgia Department of Labor.
Project Safe Georgia is administered by the Georgia Department of Labor, Safety Engineering as a public service to our citizens and business communities.
Mr. Mize gave a very informative program on Project Safe Georgia. Since its inception, Project Safe Georgia members have assisted each other in finding answers, solutions and best practices for a wide variety of safety environmental, health, human resources, worker’s compensation, transportation, industrial hygiene and risk management issues. Currently there are over 10,000 members representing not only Georgia, but all 50 states and at least 15 countries. The goal of Project Safe Georgia is to protect workers and prevent unnecessary loss of revenue through accident prevention and regulatory compliance. In short, their goal is to help each other in keeping employees working and businesses open.
Mr. Mize explained the email network that has been in operation since November 2000. Project Safe Georgia (PSG) represents both public and private sector employers. Is an extensive group of safety, health, environmental, human resources, workers’ compensation, risk management and industrial hygiene professionals sharing information, ideas and solutions to enhance each other’s programs and procedures. There is no fee or invoice. If you request information or an answer to a question, your identity is protected. No one knows you have a problem. Your identity is not shared. Your email address is never sold or compromised…you control who gets your information.
