CAEC Sponsors Job Fair

 

"The Covington Area Employer Committee (CAEC), Covington/Newton Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Labor co-sponsored two job fairs in 2011, one in April followed by one in October.

 

"The Covington Area Employer Committee (CAEC), Covington/Newton Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Labor co-sponsored two job fairs in 2011, one in April followed by one in October. Both events saw over 700 people in a four hour window of opportunity. At both events, there were approximately 120 job openings to fill, across several industries. Also present were staffing agencies, Georgia Work Ready representatives and recruiters from Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Representing not only Newton County, the Covington Area Employer Committee invites industries and applicants from Jasper, Walton, Morgan and Rockdale counties to participate. We are a region and as such must work together to help industries find qualified applicants and help our friends and neighbors get back to work."
