12th Annual Youth Job Fair

 

The Georiga Department of Labor-Kings Bay Career Center, Kings Bay Employer Committee, Camden County Youth Apprenticeship Program, Camden-Kings Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and The Fleet and Family Support Center - Employment Assistance Program of Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay invites your company to participate and support the 12th Annual Youth Job Fair 2007. This event is scheduled for Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Camden County High School Cafeteria on Laurel Island Parkway.

The success of this annual job fair can be attributed to two factors: student involvement and community support. A student committee is formed to assist with the planning, coordination and implementation of the job fair. The students utilize their leadership skills to market the event, coordinate logistics and registration of employers and job seekers. Companies are requested to support the job fair by sending a company representative to participate in the event and discuss employment opportunities with job seekers. Although the job fair targets youth ages 15 - 22, all individuals seeking employment opportunities with be admitted to the job fair. Additionally, companies may show their support by making a monetary or in-kind contribution. Event sponsors are requesting your assistance to provide food and beverage items, paper products, decoration, t-shirts for the student committee as well as door prizes. All monetary donations collected will go towards the expenses of the job fair. Checks are payable to the Kings Bay Employer Committee - Youth Job Fair 2007 and can be mailed to the Kings Bay Employer Committee, 1712 Osborne Road, St. Marys, Georgia 31558. Door prizes encourage participation and might include discount coupons, gift certificates, movie passes, small gift baskets, electronic gadgets, music items, etc. Items promoting your business would also be appreciated!

Please print the attached flyer and post the top portion in your place of business, complete the bottom portion and fax to (912) 576-2213. The attached letters provide additional registration information regarding the annual job fair and tells how businesses can show their support for youth and workforce development in our community.
