Thomasville Employer Committee Dictionary Project

The Thomas County Employer Committee recently assisted in distributing dictionaries to all third graders in Thomasville and Thomas County during the month of January (2011). This is an annual project sponsored by the Certified Literate Community Project Committee and Wal Mart. The students always look forward to receiving their dictionaries, as well as the committee members enjoy handing them out. This includes looking up the longest word in the English Language which consists of 1,909 letters! It is the term for the formula C1289H205IN3430375S8. A Tryptophan synthetase A protein, an enzyme that has 267 amino acids. (Just a little triva fact!)
