Cairo/Grady County Employer Committee and Thomas County Employer Committee Host Fall Job Fair
September 23, 2010 marked a very successful day for the job seekers of Cairo and Thomasville. The employer committees of both Cairo and Thomasville along with Georgia Department of Labor Career Center staff sponsored a fall job fair at the Thomasville Career Center.
The Fall Job Fair served approximately 350 job seekers and 16 job vendors were on site to interview and take applications. All job fair vendors were hiring vendors. The following vendors were present and all indicated they were very pleased with the event and had some very good applications.

Cairo and Thomasville are very unique in that they are 15 miles apart and many job seekers are willing to commute to their employment. This combined effort saves both time and money by combining resources and offering more opportunities to more job seekers. |
