Certified Literacy Community Program

The Thomas Co. Employer Committee along with the Thomas County Certified Literacy Community Program Committee recently delivered dictionaries to 3rd graders at Thomasville City and Thomas County Schools in an effort to promote continued literacy in our area.

TEEN MAZE "Choice Determines Destiny"

The Thomas County Employer Committee recently assisted with the first annual TEEN MAZE "Choice Determines Destiny"  held at Thomas Co. Central High School in Thomasville, Georgia.

October Monthly Meeting

The Thomas County Employer Committee's October 2009 meeting was hosted by American Fresh Foods in Thomasville, Georgia. Nanette McRae, Human Resources Manager for the company, and a fellow committee member, gave the group a tour of the plant which was followed by a delicious grilled hamburger meal.

Thomas EC Sponsor High School Competition

The Thomas County Employer Committee recently raised funds and gave a donation to the Thomasville High School Georgia Career Student Association to assist in their efforts to attend state competition in Jekyll Island. Due to state budget cuts, the students were in jeopardy of not being able to attend.

2009 Back 2 School Blitz

The Thomas County Employer Committee recently made a monetary donation to the Back To School Blitz to aide in the purchase of school supplies for needy children.
