The 2011 Career and Resource Expo was the event of the year for South Georgians looking for employment and resources.
For the 3rdnd year in a row, two neighboring counties collaborated and hosted a successful Career and Resource Expo. Cairo (Grady County) and Thomasville (Thomas County) partnered to bring hiring employers and resource vendors to this area.![]()

WWII Veterans Honored on Veterans Day
In honor of Veteran’s Day, more than fifty World War II veterans from Thomas County gathered for a historic walk down memory lane. World War II veterans assembled at the Thomas County Museum of History for a group photo. Fifty-Two Veterans and spouses reminisced, enjoyed refreshments and a nostalgic video presentation of World War II by Robert Porter after pictures were taken.![]()
